1st day of Pre-school

They're SOOOO busy....

Places to go...Peeps to see...

I have to admit...today was one of the hardest days yet. Go ahead...giggle...shake your head....I was traumatized! Let me rewind a little. Friday was Orientation, the whole family was able to go, which was nice so Matt could see the NEW school. I started getting a little emotional at the Orientation itself, but it was pretty informal and I was just filling out the rest of the 717 forms and we did take a very short tour of the new facility. And then, Monday came along, I kept hugging the girls and petting them, knowing that the BIG day was coming. I can't believe my babies are in Pre-School. I still remember calling my Mom from Magee and telling her I was having TWINS. I was UBER prepared this morning. I got out all of their clothes last night, including clothes for Emme and me, I had to be out the door pretty early. Last night I went to bed early and kept having visions of aliens taking over the Army base and kidnapping my girls'. Yeah.....the Pre-School is on Fort Benning, which means you have to get thru the security gate to get on base, so I was afraid to leave the base, what happened if I couldn't get back on for some reason. What if there was an attack and base was locked down. Yes, I know, I'm a lunatic. But I LOVE my babies!!!! So, I dropped them off this morning. They did fine. There was a little reluctancy, but went easily with their teacher. I left the building, went to my car and bawled. I sat there and thought about Rylee wanting a bottle the minute she was born (I have pictures!) and Marlee almost rolling over in the incubator only minutes after she was born. If you're reading this, you know exactly what Matt and I went through to have those babies. I can't believe they're ready for Pre-School already. Time is flying. Anyways, I digress ...again....The teachers (yes, there are 2 for 15 kids)....said they did were fine...Marlee got upset when she wasn't called on fast enough. The teachers were shocked they both knew their alphabet....I was like...."oh, they learned that when they were 18 months old".....don't they know I'm raising geniuses' here????!!! We all survived. And Matt was able to meet us there at pick-up at Noon. Ok, I was there at 11:30am........waiting......
